Our extended charters range from 4 up to 14 nights and beyond, Eastern Voyager caters for groups of minimum 14 up to 20 guests.
Less than the minimum guests are welcome to join us onboard based on the minimum day charge of the vessel.
Life on board the Eastern Voyager
The starboard side and rear of the vessel as well as the back platform offer plenty of space for drift fishing with bait boards and rod holders. There is a spacious covered area with seating and bathroom amenities on the back deck where you can relax and enjoy the views while you travel.
There is a chiller close by and a large drinks refrigerator just inside from the seating area for all your cold beverages.
We have a very spacious dining and lounge area where you can relax and enjoy your favourite CD / DVD’s and videos. Our vessel is air conditioned throughout.
Your catch will be filleted and snap frozen by our crew, (some can be kept whole) ready for you to take home.

Fishing Gear and Tackle
We do not supply fishing gear and tackle. Everyone has a personal preference for their tackle, so we compiled a list of items you may consider bringing with you.
What sort of fishing can I do?
Bottom fishing or trolling
The thrill of bottom fishing for red emperor, coral trout, cod, red throat emperor, cobia and more, or trolling for Spanish mackerel, wahoo, dolphin fish, yellow or blue-fin tuna is an experience you don't want to miss.
Trips to the Great Barrier Reefs
Capricorn Bunker Group: Minimum 4 days and beyond to Heron Island, Wistari Reef, Sykes Reef, North West Island and surrounding areas.
We offer 7 day trips and beyond to the more remote areas of the Great Barrier Reef. Swain Reefs comprise of an area of approximately 6,000 km2 and has around 1,000 separate coral reefs within its boundaries.
Coral Sea New Territories
Wreck, Cato, and Frederick reefs offer an abundance and variety of sea life, crystal clear waters and vibrant contrasting colours of the coral reefs. A minimum of 10 days is required to explore these more remote areas.
Shoalwater Bay
Reef and Estuary Fishing, where you can also set a few crab pots or explore some of the beautiful beaches along this coast line.
Fish species generally targeted are: Mangrove Jack, Barramundi, Grass sweet lip, Red Emperor- or, Nannygai.

Eastern Voyager operates within the regulations of the Department of Primary Industry QLD. These regulations govern fish sizes, species, bag limits and reef closures that apply to our guests. Please click here make yourself familiar with these regulations.
Eastern Voyager also operate within Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority regulations. These regulations govern our activities within the Marine Park.
What to bring

[_] Wet weather gear (you will be in open waters)

[_] Warm clothing - depending on the time of year it can be cool especially at night.
[_] A copy of your recreational boat licence
[_] We have a Television and DVD / CD player on board, you are welcome to bring along your favourites.

Tenders available
5 x 4.4 outboard tender boats with 30hp outboards, equipped with VHF radios, echo sounder, mandatory safety equipment, anchor, rope, gaff, fish measure, rod holders and a large esky for bait and ice which is supplied.
A recreational boat licence is required to operate the tenders.
(All Australian State and Territory licenses are accepted). Law requires operators of the tenders to be under 0.05% alcohol at all times.
